Our Goal
Our goal is to make comfortable, stylish and durable clothing in a sustainable and socially-responsible manner, and with the least possible impact on the environment. We believe this must become an essential part of every business in the 21st century.
Our Fabric
The environmentally-sound fabrics we select are tested in real-world conditions to ensure they exceed the high bar we set for them. These super-soft and durable materials originate from several sources including replenishable trees (such as eucalyptus, beech and bamboo), organic cotton and natural wool, and even recycled plastic bottles. The product pages list specific details of the fabrics used in the construction of our garments.
Our Cut
To ensure that the cut, fit and shape of our clothing is perfect, we liaise with seasoned sport apparel insiders who have decades of experience working with athletes at the highest level (yes, we’re talking Olympic medal winners). The final pattern for our garments is made by a master pattern cutter and designer of couture. In addition to adding fashion finesse to SueMe’s functional attire, our master pattern cutter runs a community programme in London that teaches the next generation about the creative process, as well as how to design, make and mend their own clothes.
Our Production
To minimise transport emissions, SueMe production takes place in and near the countries where the majority of our customers live. Our manufacturing partners (located in Britain, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey) share our environmental and social welfare beliefs. They adhere to important standards including Bluesign, Fair Wear, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), The Carbon Trust, ISO 9001, the European Union’s Registration, Evaluation, Authorization & Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), and the Global Organic Trade Standard (GOTS).
